Q.So, What is FlutterScape Anyways
FlutterScape.com is the world's first social experience marketplace. A non-traditional commerce environment that connects sellers and buyers not simply through transactions, but through the universal language of adventure and narrative.
Totally unparalleled by any other e-commerce or social commerce platform available today, FlutterScape strives to shift the attitudes and expectations of both online shoppers and sellers by reviving the joy of shopping.
Q.So How Do I Sell Stuff?
How? - it's pretty easy!
"Share" your discovery of interesting products and tell to the world why you find your product interesting!
Here is how our "easy" selling works:
- Take photographs of interesting products with either your mobile phone or digital camera and upload them to the FlutterScape.
- Price your product (e.g. Product Price + Domestic Shipping Fee to FlutterScape Warehouse + Your helping-buyers-fee)
- After you fill in some brief product details, your product will be made available to thousands of potential customers around the world.
- Once a customer purchases your product, all you have to do is return to the place where you found that product, purchase it, and then give it to the FlutterScape logistics center. Once your product arrives in our logistics center we will ship it to the customer and credit your account. Thats it! No international shipping hassle and no complicated transactions.
Q.Can I upload pictures that I got from other websites?
We encourage you to upload your own original pictures. Contents such as pictures and descriptions at websites have such things called Intellectual property rights (publishing rights, copyrights, design rights, patent rights, etc.) or any other rights belonging to the companies or third parties. Infringing upon these rights is not good. Customers would like to see the real pictures and real descriptions (for example, your own opinion and comment) in your items and in fact, items with original pictures and texts have better sales probability. Unfortunately, if someone reported that your items have contents that are infringing their intellectual property rights, we have no choice but to take it down. Thank you for your warm understanding!
Q.How Should I Fill The Details (Title, Description, Tag, etc)
You should forget about "selling" perspective because that is what makes everything complicated.
Simply put, visitors to your products want to know what is so cool about your product and why you are sharing your product discoveries - not specification of products. Yes, all you need to do is to share products you like as if you're telling it to a friend!
Here is what we think are the rules of the following;
Title:
- Describe your product discoveries with 1 or 2 keywords that you think people will use when searching your product
- Make it like a blog title
Description:
- Where you have found your products
- How your products improve someone's lives
- How you think of your own products (honest review is really effective!)
- Why you are sharing your product discoveries
- * + a bit of specs (size, color, battery type,etc...)
Tag:
- Put maximum 10 keywords to avoid being flagged doing keyword spamming
Good Example:
- Jigazo Puzzle (http://www.flutterscape.com/product/no/730)
- Japanese Traditional Soap (http://www.flutterscape.com/product/no/2757)
- One Piece 3D Mouse Pad (http://www.flutterscape.com/product/no/2712)
Q.Can I Become A FlutterScape Seller?
If you are living in Japan, have a pulse and can competently write English, then the answer is yup!
Q.What are things I can't sell?
Basically, no. There are many prohibited goods depending on the countries. For example, United States prohibit leather goods from being imported. Here is the list of things that you cannot sell so please make sure that you keep away from troubles.
1)Cash, checks, bills, shares or other securities
2)Credit cards, ATM cards or other cards
3)Savings/deposit books or withdrawal cards issued by a financial institution
4)Live animals or plants, dead animals or stuffed specimens
5)Human bodies, human body parts, dead bodies, human remains or mortuary tablets
6)Food, drink or other items susceptible to deterioration in quality or decomposition
7)Stimulants, cannabis, narcotics, psychotropic substances or any other illegal drugs
8)Guns, swords or other weaponry, gun powder or other explosives, poisons or other deleterious substances
9)Pharmaceuticals or medical equipment
10)Child pornography, adult videos or other materials of an obscene nature
Q.Do I Need Inventory?
No. We operate on the assumption that stores can take just as good care of your inventory as you could. Plus, there isn't any of that nasty risk of buying stuff you might not be able to sell. We strongly advise you to regularly make sure that your products are still at the stores.
Q.How Do I Reach More Prospective Customers?
Another good question. To make more sales, it means your products need to be exposed to as many buyers as possible so that people tend to buy your products by a higher probability. Therefore, the logic is here - you need more buyers to look at your product. We may suggest you to do the following things so please give it a try!
- Link your product URL in your facebook or other SNSs
- Use Twitter and tweet about your product
- TweetBeep might help you find people who look for something similar to your product
- Bookmark your product online so as to share it with people (e.g. StumbleUpon, delicious, and digg)
- If you have a blog, it might be a good idea to introduce your awesome product discoveries
- Or if you have friends who have blog, then ask her/him for a favor
- Tumblr (http://www.tumblr.com/) is the easiest way to make your own blog and share your product discoveries to the world!
- Share your product discoveries to our Facebook fan page (http://facebook.com/flutterscape)

Q.How Should I Estimate The Weight?
The weight should be the total of product weight + box (packaging).
For product weight, you might want to look for the similar product using Google Product Search. For packaging/boxing, depending on the size though, it usually weighs around 200g - 500g.
Q.Do I Have to Ship the Products I Sell By Myself?
No way. We totally do that for you. For free. Seeing a pattern here? Just domestically ship your stuff to our logistics center. We will take care of writing your customers address on the box, inspecting the products and ensuring that it gets to them ASAP.

Q.How Do I Get My Money?!
Sellers are paid via paypal as soon as their products arrive in our domestic logistics center. Please be careful - your transaction is going to be automatically canceled if we do not confirm your products at our logistic center within 7 calendar days from the moment when you receive the notification.
Q.What is Paypal?!
Paypal is an online payment service whereby you can send/receive money only with your email address. You are going to get paid in your Paypal account so if you do not have the account yet, please sign up here. You also need to link your bank account to your Paypal account, and if you do not have the bank account here in Japan yet, Shinsei Bank might be easier to make one!
Q.Can I get paid in my bank account?
Unfortunately, not at this moment.
